As a part of an effort by several churches to adopt local schools as prayer partners, GMPC is the prayer partner for Sampson Middle School this year. We wanted to show our support for the teachers and staff as they begin the school year faced with numerous additional challenges due to COVID-19 and the related precautions. So we filled 90 jars of candy and delivered them to the school last week, as teachers and staff were making their final preparations for the school year. Each jar had a label that said, “This Year Is Going to Be Sweet,” with a scripture verse and our church information on the back.
