This post is part of a series called, “The GMPC Cooking Challenge.” We’re asking each of you to find a recipe in the GMPC Cookbook and share your masterpieces with your fellow Presbyterians. You’re also welcome to share NEW recipes and family cooking traditions too! Please send all photo and video entries to: mepope@ncsu.edu. We can’t wait to see the talent and fun our congregation has in the kitchen!
Mrs. Darby Scott and her grandchildren have been quite busy in the kitchen this summer! Keeping kids entertained can be quite a feat, and Mrs. Darby has done it with flare:
“I saw an advertisement for ‘cooking with children’ with a company called, ‘Radish for Kids.’ I purchased the monthly recipes, and we’ve been having fun baking and cooking. Yesterday, we made black bean burgers, and today we made Campfire S’mores Pie. The kids have had fun and so have I. Stay tuned: tomorrow we are making ice cream in zip lock bags!”

Neato, Darby. Did they actually eat the black bean burgers?
